 Since our start in 1980, we have been presented with the 1989 “Honors Award” by the American Society of Landscape Architects, recognized three times in the CAL-LIFE section in the Sacramento Bee newspaper, and published in three magazines (Global Architecture, Progressive Architecture and Landscape Architecture). In addition, we have three projects in two hardbound landscape photo texts, "Gaining Ground" and "Water Works" by author Michael Glassman (Landscape Architect) and Maureen Gilmer (Photographer). These books can be found around the country in Borders Books and Barns & Noble bookstores. We have also had projects photographed by Sunset magazine 8 times. Most recently, VHLC was recognized for its achievements by the Sacramento Business Journal’s 2001 and 2002 editions as one of the Sacramento area's top 25 contractors, and by the National Register’s Who’s Who in Executive and Professionals 2002-2003 publication.
VHLC holds a “C-27” landscape construction license and is a division of JMA Investments, LTD.
